About us
Located in the Department of Biology of the Rio Piedras campus of the University
of Puerto Rico we are in a priviliged position for studying tropical
landscapes. The island of Puerto Rico itself is a living landscape,
and its impressive road system allows easy access to almost any
corner of the island. In addition, there is a wealth of non-spatial
              and spatial
data for the island that when combined opens countless opportunities
to address a diverse set of questions about the organization of
tropical landscapes. On the other hand, our location in the San
              Juan metropolitan
area facilitates access to mainland locations relatively fast
              and easy.
We strive for excelence in our endevours, and are committed to raise people's
          interest on environmental issues.
